広州出張を快適に過ごせました
今回はプロジェクト会議のため、広州市越秀区を訪れました。いくつかのホテルを比較検討した結果、最終的にJin Ying Hotel Guangzhouに決めました。当初は、小北駅直結という最高の立地に惹かれただけでしたが、4日間滞在してみて、越秀山に隣接するこの老舗ホテルが、古都での出張におけるあらゆる悩みをさりげなく解決してくれることに気づきました。多忙なスケジュールの中でも、スムーズに移動できました。
広州南駅に到着後、地下鉄2号線で小北駅まで直行。B出口からホテルのロビーまでは歩いてすぐ。屋外通路をスーツケースを引きずって歩く必要もなく、広州の灼熱の太陽や突然の豪雨も気にせずに済みました。チェックインも予想以上にスムーズでした。フロントデスクは私の会議情報を事前に登録してくれており、確認後、分かりやすい名前の付いたルームキーを渡してくれました。細部にまで配慮が行き届いており、通勤ガイドまで用意されていました。環市東ビジネス地区までの徒歩目安距離に加え、請求書発行サービスのある近隣の印刷所や24時間営業の広東粥店などの情報も記載されていました。さらに、近隣オフィスビルの朝のラッシュアワー時のエレベーター待ち時間まで提供されており、越秀区のビジネス旅行者のニーズに完璧に応えていました。
客室のレイアウトは出張に最適でした。32平方メートルの広々とした空間はすっきりとしており、窓際の1.6メートル幅の大きなデスクは十分な作業スペースを提供していました。専用ネットワークは大規模プロジェクトでもスムーズに動作し、予備のネットワークケーブルはデスクの引き出しに収納されていました。夜遅くにホテルに戻っても、ソファで窮屈な思いをすることなく作業できました。デスクランプは柔らかな光を放ち、デスク上の3つの急速充電ポートは、ノートパソコン、仕事用携帯電話、予備の携帯電話を同時に接続するのに十分でした。床に広げられたプロジェクト書類や契約書も、きちんと整理できる十分なスペースがありました。疲れた私は窓の外を眺めると、越秀山の緑豊かな景色が視界いっぱいに広がり、緊張していた神経がたちまちほぐれました。
最も便利だったのは、ホテルのビジネス設備でした。事前に予約しておいた多目的会議室は、30分も前に準備が整っていました。広東風点心とともに提供されるビジネスティーブレイクは、油っぽさや塩分が控えめで、さっぱりとしていて美味しかったです。数百枚のプロジェクト入札書類を緊急に再印刷する必要があった時も、フロントデスクが5分以内にビジネスセンターと連携してくれ、20分以内にはきちんと製本され、捺印された書類が届けられました。午後の会議で忙しい一日を終えた後は、ホテル内のレストランで出来立ての竹筒麺を味わうことができ、遠くまで出かける必要もありませんでした。夕方には、ホテルのジムでランニングをしたり、10分間のサウナに入ったりして、一日の疲れをすっかり洗い流すことができました。
4日間の出張後、旧市街での通勤時のような慌ただしさはもう感じなくなりました。地下鉄直結の利便性から、細部まで配慮の行き届いたビジネスアメニティまで、Jin Ying Hotel Guangzhouは越秀区の立地上の利点とビジネスサービスを完璧に融合させており、多忙な出張を最初から最後までスムーズかつ安心して過ごすことができました。
越秀山の麓で、古き良き広州の生活を垣間見ることができました
今回、広州の旧市街を散策するにあたり、越秀公園に隣接するJin Ying Hotel Guangzhouに宿泊することにしました。ホテルのすぐ外には小北地下鉄駅があり、越秀山の緑豊かな景色を眺めることができました。3泊の滞在中、人気の観光スポットを駆け足で巡るのではなく、ホテルの周辺の路地裏を散策し、古き良き広州の雰囲気を存分に味わいました。
小北地下鉄駅B出口から徒歩わずか3分。回り道も日差しも気にせず、スーツケースを引きずって歩くのも楽々でした。チェックインの際、受付係は私が旧市街を散策する予定だと知ると、チェックイン手続きを迅速に済ませてくれただけでなく、近くの老舗店をいくつかメモに書き留めてくれました。200メートル先には朝6時から営業している米粉麺のお店、すぐ近くには創業30年のデザート店、そして越秀公園への朝の運動コースの入り口まで分かりやすく表示されていました。高層階の部屋の窓を開けると、越秀山の緑豊かな景色が目に飛び込んできました。木々の間からは五羊像の尖塔が顔を覗かせ、そよ風には昔ながらの広州の朝食の香りが漂っていました。
何より快適だったのは、移動の便利さです。翌日は急ぐ必要もなく、10分ほど歩けば越秀公園の南門に到着しました。山のそよ風を感じながら、旧市街の赤い屋根を見下ろし、五羊像へと続く道をゆっくりと登りました。そこは、混雑した観光地とは全く異なる、静かで落ち着いた場所でした。正午、ホテルに戻り、フロントで勧められた米粉麺のお店に立ち寄りました。蒸したての牛肉入り米粉麺は、滑らかで柔らかく、香ばしく、お粥と一緒に食べてもたったの10元ちょっと。観光地で食べるものよりもずっと本格的でした。午後は、地下鉄で一駅の北京路へ。夕方、ホテルに戻る途中、小北の路地裏を散策しました。様々な民族の露天商が商品を並べている様子を眺めたり、ガジュマルの木の下で老人たちが談笑しながら扇子で扇いでいる声に耳を傾けたりしました。小北ならではの活気に満ちた、素朴な雰囲気が、ホテルの周辺一帯に漂っていました。
ホテルの細部に至るまで、昔ながらの温かい心遣いが感じられます。朝食はオープンキッチンで出来立てのお粥と竹筒麺が提供されます。麺はシェフの手作りで、弾力とコシがあり、添えられたおかずも本格的な広東風の塩味と酸味が効いています。夜遊びで疲れた後、ホテルに戻れば、階下の24時間営業のコンビニで冷たいクワイジュースを気軽に購入できます。窓辺に立ち、そよ風を感じながら越秀山の夜景を眺めていると、都会の喧騒から離れ、古都のゆったりとした時間の流れを感じることができます。出発前にロビーラウンジでしばらく座っていると、地元の常連客らしき人たちがソファで広東語で談笑していました。彼らは10年以上ここに滞在していると言っていましたが、ゴールデンイーグルの味は全く変わっていないと話していました。
以前、広州を訪れる際は、流行のショップ巡りや人気観光スポット巡りばかりしていました。しかし今回、Jin Ying Hotel Guangzhouに滞在して、適切な宿泊先を選ぶことで、ゆったりとくつろぎ、周辺の通りや路地を散策し、古き良き広州の温かさを真に体験できるのだと気づきました。
